About this course
This advanced graduate studio broadens and strengthens students' understanding of urban design research methods and prepares them to conduct independent urban design work. Students learn research strategies and methods and examine research precedents and texts during the first portion of the course. In the second portion, they develop and carry out individual research design proposals. The semester ends with formal presentations of findings from the design research projects.
