About this course
Building on knowledge learned in LA 390 Woody Landscape Plants, students in this course learn technical aspects of planting, how to analyze existing plantings, various approaches to planting design, and how to integrate planting strategies into the design process. Along the way, students gain deeper familiarity with select species, especially natives, and learn methods for developing plant palettes based on plant characteristics, dynamic ecosystems, and best practices in landscape architecture.
Prerequisite: LA 390 Woody Landscape Plants or consent of instructor.
