About Prof. Bartumeus Ferré
Biography
Sara Bartumeus Ferré is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Illinois and an affiliated faculty member at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) and in the Department of Urbanism and Territorial Planning at the Vallès School of Architecture. She holds an MLA from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MArch from ETSAB.
As principal (with Anne Renau) of Renau Bartumeus Arquitectes, SLP, Bartumeus Ferré’s professional activity includes projects in architecture, landscape architecture, and planning, particularly in areas of social housing, public space, and facilities, as well as the design of exhibitions. Since 2005, she has been a member of the Organizing Committee for the European Biennial of Landscape Architecture, and she has served on the Architecture Committee of the Barcelona City Council and as a member of the Advisory Board for Urbanism and Landscape Architecture of the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya.
