Bio of Tim Slazinik + Focus of Talk
Tim Slazinik (BLA Illinois 2006), PLA, is a Senior Associate at GGLO, in downtown Seattle, Washington, where he specializes in conceptual design, horticulture and plant selection, and design communications.
Before joining GGLO in 2015, Slazinik worked as a landscape architect for nine years, first in West Palm Beach, Florida, and then at Arcturis and HOK, both in St. Louis, Missouri. During that period, he built a strong foundation of experience working on corporate, civic, and healthcare projects in the Central and Southern United States and abroad in the Middle East. At GGLO, Slazinik expanded his range of project types and collaborations, with special attention to sustainable urbanism and public open space.

In this presentation, Slazinik will focus on an urban multifamily residential project undertaken and completed by GGLO, sharing details about the process from start to finish, with glimpses of related projects from the firm’s portfolio.
The Projects in Practice series of talks by alumni-practitioners is made possible with support from the Visiting Practitioner Fund in the Department of Landscape Architecture.
