About this course
Professionally supervised field experiences in design offices and public agencies are a direct and effective way to introduce students to practice. Students undertaking an internship in department-approved firm or agency are eligible to enroll in LA 345. This course provides the opportunity to explore career competencies related to your internship experience. A vital process throughout your career will be the ability to engage in self-reflection about areas of strength, areas for growth, and areas of interest. In this course, you will be engaged in self-assessment, learn more about specific areas of career competency, and learn from your peers about their approach to career development.
Seventy-five hours of employment are required for each hour of course credit. A transcriptable zero-credit option is also available. Approved for S/U grading only, LA 345 may be repeated to a maximum of 10 hours.
Prerequisite: Upper division undergraduate standing or consent of instructor. Restricted to undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Landscape Architecture.
