Resilient Campus Designing for Stormwater Management and Biodiversity
The 2026 Charrette focuses on transforming the UIUC campus through innovative stormwater management and biodiversity initiatives. By treating water as a landscape-wide system rather than a site-specific issue, student teams will develop imaginative, resilient design proposals. This work builds upon existing campus frameworks, including the 2022 Landscape Master Plan, to help shape a more sustainable future for the university.
This is a collaborative, department-wide activity in which students work in three large teams, each led by professionals from nationally distinguished firms.
