Another Place: Storymaking the Entangled Prairie
Another Place: Storymaking the Entangled Prairie is an upcoming exhibition featuring new work by eleven faculty artists from the University of Illinois School of Art & Design. The exhibition explores how stories shape our understanding of place and how storytelling maintains, challenges, and reimagines the landscapes we live in. Focusing on the Prairie, Chicagoland, and Central Illinois, the works engage past histories, present conditions, and imagined futures. Supported by the Campus Research Board and the Frances P. Rohlen Visiting Artists Fund, the exhibition will be accompanied by artist talks in Spring 2026, a performance by Professor Deke Weaver, and a multi-authored companion book to be published by the University of Illinois Press in 2027. Curated by Terri Weissman. For more information click here: https://kam.illinois.edu/exhibition/another-place-storymaking-entangled-prairie-school-art-design-faculty
