About Mike Dickinson
Biography
Mike is the Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Agriculture Librarian at the Funk ACES Library and an Assistant Professor in the University Library. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing) from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MSLIS), with specialization in Data Curation, from the iSchool at the University of Illinois. While an MSLIS candidate at Illinois, he served for two years as a Graduate Assistant in the Funk ACES Library. Mike has served as a Metadata Intern for two groups at the National Center for Atmospheric Research: the Atmospheric Chemistry Observations and Modeling Laboratory and the Climate and Global Dynamics Laboratory. From 2018 to 2020, he was a Data Librarian at the Florida Institute of Technology, and he has recently been involved in collaborative research using text-mining techniques.
