Lecture: Andrew Sargeant
Andrew Sargeant is a Founding Member and Board Vice-President of The Urban Studio, a nonprofit based in Washington, DC, and Los Angeles, California, with a mission “to advance design thinking for equitable + sustainable urbanism.” Sargeant’s research focuses on the role of immersive technology in landscape architecture today and its effect on the engagement of clients and the public within the design process. His technical knowledge and proficiency with a variety of visualization software mediums in 2D, 3D, and AR/VR have been instrumental in the coordination of multiple consultants and internal design teams.
Sargeant received a BS in Landscape Architecture from Temple University. Prior to co-founding The Urban Studio, he was a landscape designer at OLIN and Lionheart Places (Austin, Texas). He was a 2018–2019 Landscape Architecture Foundation Fellow for Innovation and Leadership, and he is the first landscape architect to be selected for the Enterprise Rose Fellowship.
